About the role

Position: Synology Installation & Implementation Technician Duration: 1–3 Months Location: Newmarket, ON Work Model: Hybrid/Remote/Onsite Pay Rate: $30–$40/hr

About Our Client: Our client is a leading healthcare organization supporting advanced Radiation Oncology environments and technology infrastructure. They are seeking an experienced technician to support the successful deployment and implementation of a backup and storage solution.

About This Opportunity: On behalf of our client, we’re looking for an experienced Synology Installation & Implementation Technician to support the deployment of backup hardware within a Radiation Oncology environment. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting a Synology Rack-Station RS3621xs+ NAS backup solution, while working closely with client stakeholders to ensure a successful implementation.

What You’ll Do: • Install and rack-mount backup hardware at the client site. • Configure and deploy a Synology RackStation RS3621xs+ NAS server. • Perform system configuration, testing, and validation to ensure successful deployment. • Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and configuration issues during implementation. • Document installation, configuration, testing, and implementation activities. • Collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful deployment. • Provide onsite technical support with remote assistance as required. • Follow customer standards, change management processes, and implementation procedures. • Ensure the deployed backup solution meets operational and technical requirements.

What You Bring: • Hands-on experience installing and configuring enterprise server, NAS, or storage hardware. • Experience with Synology solutions, particularly RackStation systems, is an asset. • Strong hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting skills. • Experience with backup, NAS, and storage technologies. • Ability to clearly document technical installations and implementations. • Strong communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work independently and professionally in a healthcare environment. • Experience working in onsite client environments with structured implementation and change management procedures.

Nice to Have: • Experience working in healthcare, hospitals, or Radiation Oncology environments. • Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions. • Familiarity with rack-mounted server and storage infrastructure. • Experience supporting short-term technical deployments or implementation projects.
