Boyd’s Pharmasave on Agricola Street in Halifax has a current opportunity available for a pharmacy technician.

We are seeking a motivated pharmacy technician to join our team for a one year term to cover a leave with the possibility of the position turning into a permanent position. Applicants should have a strong interest in community health care, gender affirming care and sexual health services!

Responsibilities

Provide Enhanced Clinical Services: Collaborate with patients to offer specialized care related to sexual health (testing and treatment), gender-affirming care (including provincial injections), opioid-use disorders and mental health under the supervision of a pharmacist. Community Engagement: Advocate for improved health care services, especially for marginalized communities, and actively engage with patients to build lasting relationships. Licensed pharmacy technician in Nova Scotia. Strong commitment to patient care and advocacy for marginalized communities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Enthusiasm for working to the full scope of a pharmacy technician.
