Central Zone is seeking Locum Hospitalist Physicians to provide coverage at two sites ? James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre in Gander and Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. The Locum Hospitalist is responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and complex medical conditions, as well as collaboration in discharge planning and transitions of care.The Hospitalist functions as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for assigned patients and works closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centred care. The role involves participation in a structured hospitalist model, including scheduled daytime clinical coverage and shared call responsibilities.
