What You Will Do
The Transportation Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution and optimization of transportation operations across North America. By partnering with carriers and internal stakeholders, this role ensures reliable service, manages transportation-related challenges, and contributes to strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, customer service, and supply chain performance.
In This Role, You Can Expect To
Coordinate transportation operations across the supply chain, partnering with internal teams and carrier partners to ensure service, cost, and performance objectives are met. Monitor transportation activities, carrier performance, market trends, and network risks using TMS platforms, reporting tools, and analytics to identify issues and implement solutions. Manage carrier relationships, including performance reviews, preparing scorecards, business reviews, escalations, and ongoing service improvement initiatives. Leverage transportation technologies and data to drive process improvements, optimize carrier selection, enhance efficiency, and support business continuity. Support transportation sourcing activities, including carrier rate requests, strategic network changes, spot market opportunities, and RFP processes from development through implementation. Collaborate with stakeholders to support supply chain initiatives, customer service improvements, inventory optimization, and system enhancements. Ensure accurate transportation spend by partnering with carriers and freight payment teams to validate freight and accessorial charges. Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders on operational issues, performance opportunities, and transportation solutions.
What You Will Bring
Post-secondary degree from either a University or College Minimum of 2 years of retail or relevant industry experience High level of organizational and communication skills Strong data analytics skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while under pressure Excellent people and multi-tasking skills with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner Understanding of applicable internal and third-party computer & software systems, such as: SAP, MS Office Suite, TMS, DAT Freight Analytics Bilingual (English/French) is required
