Here's where you'll be focusing Create and update CAD floor plans and associated architectural drawings Maintain and organize files within BIM 360 Docs Support updates to material sample libraries and finish schedules Assist with design coordination tasks across multiple store development initiatives Ensure drawings and documentation reflect high attention to detail and current standards The role is accountable for … Delivering precise and up-to-date drawings and documentation Managing multiple workstreams and file systems effectively Supporting cross-functional teams including design, construction, and external partners Contributing to the timely delivery of design outputs What you have to offer Currently pursuing a bachelor degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or Interior Design Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel for basic tasks Familiarity with Bluebeam, BIM 360 Docs, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables What we have to offer Real-world experience: Exposure to retail design and store development at a national scale Hands-on learning: Opportunities to contribute directly to active projects and design deliverables Mentorship: Guidance from experienced design and construction professionals Exposure across the business: Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Skill development: Strengthen technical drafting, documentation, and project coordination skills A supportive environment: Work within a collaborative and inclusive team culture Future opportunities: Build connections and experience that can support future roles with Sobeys Who we are Sobeys is one of Canada’s leading grocery retailers, with more than 1,600 stores across all 10 provinces and banners including Sobeys, Safeway, IGA, Foodland, FreshCo, Thrifty Foods, and Lawtons Drug Stores.
