Prosperity Workforce Solutions is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for a contract in Salmon Arm, BC at our clients long-term care facility. The LPN is responsible for providing patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with the provincial standards of care.

Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Type: Contract available from July 1st to September 30th

Schedule: 8 & 12 hours available, 35-40 hours per week

Daily per diem + meal per diem on working days.

Pay Rate: $50/hour incorporated

Responsibilities:

Work as a member of the inter-professional team as described by our Professional Practice Model applying the person-centered approach to care. Complete and ensure resident's clinical care assessments, care/service plans and documentation are accurate, up to date and changes communicated as required. Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care/service plans and make changes as required. Assist with scheduling of resident's care conferences and participate in conferences where applicable. Work closely with the Director of Care to facilitate resident's move in, move out and transfers. Provide direct resident care and medication/ treatment administration and document care in compliance with regulatory and Resident Care standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

Practical Nurse Diploma Active BCCNM License Registration 2+ years experience in senior care or long-term care Current CPR training certification Current First Aid certification Completion of a current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)
