About the role
As a Fixed Term Shipping & Receiving Operator, you will be responsible for the rotation of Irving's Blending and Packaging Production and Warehouse inventory and loading/unloading of delivery vehicles. Your goal will be to ensure all hazardous raw materials, damaged goods, or finished product shipments are loaded/unloaded, inspected, counted, staged, sorted, wrapped, rotated, and stored. Your success will be evident by how effectively Customer requirements and shipments are fulfilled in a timely manner to meet on time delivery schedule and commitments. This is a 6 month fixed term position. Ensures all safety equipment are in place before loading or unloading trailers Adhere to Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations to ensure 100% compliance Ensures the correct items are scanned, loaded and secured safely onto equipment and trailers. Maintains a solid understanding of full product line, to ensure order quality and accuracy. Responsible for knowledge of 3000 SKUs Completion of all applicable paperwork in a time sensitive and accurate manner to meet daily fulfillment requirements Creation of pick tickets with selection by selecting aged stock and continuous tracking and updating of daily shipping loading/unloading board Participates with counting of inventory as required Conducts analysis of the load pattern for palletized orders Your Skills: Forklift and Warehouse Operator experience Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite Your Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; college diploma is desirable Minimum 2-3 years prior industrial experience, preferably in a production / warehouse facility WHMIS certifications Irving Oil is committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
