Position: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Department: Diagnostic Imaging

Status: Temporary Full-Time (1.0 FTE) (Until October 2027)

Schedule: Days/Weekends (7.5 hr shifts)

Salary: $40.05 – $51.77 hourly (rate effective April 1, 2024)

Posting Date: May 28, 2026

Closing Date: June 4, 2026

Duties to Commence: October 2026

Qualifications:

  • Current registration and in good standing with Sonography Canada and the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).

  • Maintain registry status by obtaining the required continuing medical education credits.

  • Successful completion of a Canadian Medical Association (CMA) accredited diagnostic medical sonography educational program. The recognized Canadian entry-to-practice standards are described in the national Competency Profiles (NCP). The NCP provides the foundation for curriculum development in Canada’s accredited sonography programs.

  • Registration with Sonography Canada as a Generalist and/or Vascular sonographer through the completion of Sonography Canada credentialing examinations and Canadian Clinical Skills Assessment.

  • Proof of liability insurance coverage is required

  • 2 years’ experience as a Diagnostic Medical sonographer in a hospital setting.

  • BCLS certified is an asset
