The Business Support Services (BSS) Branch is responsible for providing business support through a centralized branch that consolidates and streamlines the delivery of specialized business supports and services to an assigned department, and standardizes where feasible. The dual mandate of the BSS is to provide key business knowledge and capacity to support policy, project management and a number of administrative functions to General Managers and operational Services and Branches within the Department, and to support the City as a whole by working collectively and collaboratively to enhance operations and support corporate-wide initiatives. You are responsible for: providing research, analytical support to a variety of corporate and departmental services, programs and initiatives; tracking and monitoring related information and data, ensuring accuracy and integrity; supporting corporate and departmental services, programs and initiatives led by the BSS; and participating as a project team member on assigned projects, supporting project planning and various project components. *Individual positions may not require the performance of all of these responsibilities, or additional related duties, within the scope of the job, may be assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Completion of 3 year university degree in a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting research and enhanced data collection and analysis, communicating information, working with advanced tracking and monitoring system and supporting project management or project elements.
