An opportunity has arisen for a Hardware Development Engineer to join the Electrical & Controls department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

About The Role

Reporting to the Principal Power Electronics Engineer, you will be supporting the full life cycle of Fortescue Zero's Power Conversion Products, covering high power DC/DC power systems used in industrial green energy applications. The fast pace of Fortescue Zero projects will also require support in challenging time frames and across a variety of industry sectors.

What You Will Do

SiC MOSFET Gate driver design. Specification and simulation of magnetic components. Designing of high switching frequency power electronics. Following best practice safety processes and procedures for hazardous voltage working. Developing laboratory capability for high voltage testing. Supporting the full lifecycle of Fortescue Zero's power products in test and customer sites globally.

About You

3 years Industrial experience, post graduate with electronics / mechatronics degree or equivalent. Experience in industrial/automotive/aerospace or similar highly regulated industry. Experience of high voltage/high power electronics design. Experience of IGBT/SiC MOFETs.
