Pay Rate: $63.95 to $78.02/hour, depending on experience Contract Length: 1 year Location: Calgary, Alberta
Raise is currently hiring a Senior Human Resources Business Partner on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Strategic HR Partnerships, you will provide strategic HR support to leaders within the Upstream – Canadian Thermal & Conventional Heavy Oil portfolio. The role works closely with the broader Strategic HR Partner team as well as the HR Centers of Expertise and the People Services Team to deliver programs and services in alignment with the business and people strategy and plans.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning Act as a strategic partner to the various leadership teams in planning and implementing the people components of the business strategy such as organizational capacity, capability, people experience, and risk that will drive high performance of the business area Influence the Company strategy, business and people plans to ensure they reflect the requirements of the client group Assess internal and external people trends that may impact the business area’s ability to deliver on its strategy and plan Diagnose organization issues, identify interventions and work with leaders to facilitate improvement and change Create and implement special HR projects to close gaps identified in the business area’s organization capacity, capability, and people experience. Work closely with COEs to ensure function programs are consistent with the People Plan, People Principles and are executed efficiently and effectively, tapping into resources and capability within the HR Department Lead and facilitate an integrated approach to employee development, talent reviews, succession planning and internal development and mobility to enable leaders to meet current and future performance requirements Provide change management consulting to support the successful execution of changes Deliver Client Service Gather feedback from clients regularly to ensure planning, projects, services, and support being provided aligns to business area needs Provide advice on organization design, organizational and team effectiveness, workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, attrition, and retention Support the execution of annual HR Programs such as leadership development, succession planning, employee development, performance management, mentoring, and compensation Collaborate with the People Service Centre to ensure consistent and quality delivery of services to clients Manage Risk Provide advice and consultation to management and employees on performance and conduct Report and address employee concerns in accordance with Company policies Continuous Improvement Influence and support the development and delivery of fit for purpose governance, programs, processes, and services within the COEs and service delivery teams of the HR Department Represent the business area’s needs in HR program development and planning and continuous improvement; provide COEs with input that reflects the perspective of client group and results in fit for purpose programs and services
Qualifications
Minimum 8+ years HRBP experience with experience demonstrating technical competencies as outlined in the responsibilities section Minimum of 5+ years of Organizational Effectiveness / Team Effectiveness, and validated ability to influence culture and Senior and Frontline leaders Progression of HR leadership roles with increased responsibilities and scope Education and Certifications Post-secondary degree in a related field CHRP designation or equivalent is an asset
