Role Description The Apprentice Electrician will support licensed electricians with day-to-day electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This contract role is on-site in Regina, SK, and involves assisting with wiring, conduit and panel installations, testing and troubleshooting electrical systems, and helping ensure work meets Canadian and local electrical codes. The Apprentice Electrician will help prepare tools and materials, follow safety procedures, document work performed, and maintain a clean, organized job site. The role also includes learning to read and interpret electrical drawings, supporting renovation and retrofit projects, and collaborating with the project team to complete work on time and within budget. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of electricity and basic electrical principles. Practical skills in electrical work, including installation, wiring assistance, and panel work. Ability to perform maintenance & repair tasks under supervision, including routine inspections and component replacement. Troubleshooting skills to help identify issues in electrical systems and support corrective actions. Interest in or exposure to electrical engineering concepts relevant to building systems. Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or related technical training is an asset. Strong commitment to safety, including adherence to Canadian and local electrical codes and company safety policies. Ability to work on-site, use hand and power tools safely, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working at heights. Good communication skills, reliability, and willingness to learn from licensed electricians and journeypersons. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation to job sites in and around Regina, SK.
