Dawson Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Asphalt Roller Operator to support the paving crew.

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Construction, working in a temporary, full-time Asphalt Roller Operator, reporting to the Foreperson. This position will be part of our paving crew. Your base location will be Kamloops, B.C. and will require travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Operate tools and machines to spread, smooth, level, or steel-reinforce stone or asphalt on roadbeds.
• Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment by conducting pre-shift inspections and reporting any concerns or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Learn and follow safety regulations.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
• Perform all necessary work while complying with all company policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Minimum one (1) year asphalt roller experience
• Previous paving experience is an asset
• Certifications and applicable tickets are an asset
• Valid Driver's License
• Be available for on call work
