Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills.

The ability to operate heavy equipment is an asset.

Duties

• Operate trucks and heavy equipment for the transportation of freight.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
• Proficient in floating and managing heavy equipment.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
• Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Skills

• Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including dozers, excavators and loaders. Must have experience/time in the machinery.
• Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges on the road or during loading/unloading processes.
