About the role
We're seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site execution for a major electrical infrastructure expansion project in New Brunswick. This is a multi-year contract supporting the expansion of a high-voltage transmission terminal and installation of new grid infrastructure, including a STATCOM system. If you have a strong background managing civil, electrical, and mechanical construction on utility, transmission, or substation projects, we'd love to connect. What You'll Be Doing Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities across civil, electrical, and mechanical scopes. Coordinate field execution between project stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams. Manage day-to-day construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Chair weekly on-site construction coordination meetings. Prepare weekly construction progress reports highlighting milestones, risks, issues, and field activities. Foster effective communication among contractors, project teams, and client stakeholders. Proactively identify and escalate project risks, safety concerns, and construction issues. Support construction through commissioning and project closeout. Promote a strong safety culture and collaborative work environment. What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large-scale utility, transmission, substation, power generation, or industrial infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of civil, electrical, and mechanical construction disciplines. Experience coordinating multiple contractors and managing field execution. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality. Experience supporting commissioning activities is considered a strong asset. Project Details Location: Salisbury, New Brunswick (On-site) Contract Duration: Multi-year engagement through 2028 Start Date: October 2026 Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour days (with occasional 10-hour days and weekend work during commissioning)
