About the role

Aquent is partnering with a leading organization at the forefront of transforming how businesses manage their finances. We are building a talent pipeline for visionary and deeply experienced design leaders who are ready to make a significant impact. This is an unparalleled opportunity to shape the future of financial interactions, designing and launching groundbreaking experiences that will redefine an entire industry. You won’t just be designing interfaces; you’ll be instrumental in creating scalable, intuitive, and truly innovative platforms that empower commercial clients.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead Product Designer to serve as an embedded design leader within a dedicated team focused on modernizing financial platforms. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Engineers to conceptualize, build, and deploy an industry-leading business banking portal. Your work will directly influence how businesses interact with their money, ensuring our solutions are not only functional but also groundbreaking and user-centric.

What You’ll Do

Act as a strategic partner to product owners and business analysts, translating complex business requirements into elegant, user-centric experiences. Lead dynamic collaboration and co-creation sessions with cross-functional stakeholders, building trust through design expertise and clear communication. Collaborate with Design Researchers, Visual Designers, and Content Designers to deliver holistic solutions that balance user needs with business goals. Mentor and support design peers, helping them navigate competing demands and manage their workloads effectively. Identify common design patterns and contribute to robust design systems and asset libraries to ensure consistency across the platform. Work hand-in-hand with development teams to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the implementation process. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize your workload independently, and adapt gracefully to client feedback or technical constraints. Maintain clear documentation of design decisions, user flows, and wireframes to keep the broader team aligned.

Required Skills & Experience

10–15+ years of dedicated experience designing complex digital products with deep interaction design expertise, including intricate user flows, detailed wireframing, and interactive prototyping. 3–10+ years of experience collaborating deeply with or managing content strategy workflows. 5+ years of experience leveraging data and user research to rigorously guide the design process. Demonstrated lateral and design thinking, with the innate ability to re-frame problems, draw inspiration from diverse domains, and solve root client needs. Strong systems thinking, capable of designing holistically across highly interconnected digital experiences while respecting technical boundaries. Deep knowledge of accessibility best practices (including WCAG guidelines) to champion inclusive experiences for all users. A proven track record of resilience and agility, handling stakeholder feedback with grace, adapting to change, and celebrating collective wins. Familiarity with front-end technologies and a strong understanding of how design translates into development.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience or deep understanding of Financial Services / Commercial Banking.
