L’opportunité : Stage de 4 mois: Septembre – Décembre Comment vous contribuerez : L’équipe R&D des composants photoniques à haute vitesse est située à Québec et développe des dispositifs qui constituent une partie importante des systèmes optiques de haute performance commercialisés par Ciena. Le/la développeur(se) stagiaire rejoindra l’équipe de validation de produits, où il/elle jouera un rôle essentiel dans le développement d’outils d’analyse de données utilisés lors de la conception et de la validation de composants photoniques à haute vitesse. Vous allez : Développer des logiciels pour effectuer l’analyse de données. Développer des outils de gestion et de présentation des données. Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les ingénieurs de validation pour bien comprendre les besoins et développer des solutions optimales. Les incontournables : Étudiant/étudiante en génie ou dans un domaine connexe (électrique, physique, informatique). Excellentes aptitudes en statistiques. Confortable dans l’apprentissage de nouveaux outils logiciel. Excellente connaissance d'un ou de plusieurs des langages suivants : Python, SQL, C#. Atouts: Expérience avec des outils de « big data ». ------------------------- The Opportunity: 4 month work term: September – December How You Will Contribute: The high-speed photonics components R&D team is located in Quebec City and develop devices that are an important part of Ciena’s commercialized high performance optical systems. The data scientist intern will join the product validation team where she/he will play an essential role into the development of data analysis tools for the design and the validation of high-speed photonic components. You will: Develop software for data analysis. Develop pipeline for data transformation and presentation. Work in close collaboration with validation engineers to understand the needs and define optimum solutions. The Must Haves: Working towards completion of a degree in engineering or similar (electrical, physic, computer). Excellent skills in statistics. Comfort learning new software technologies. Excellent knowledge of one or many of the following languages: Python, SQL, C#. Assets: Experience with big data tools. Ability to work and communicate in French. Pay Range: The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00 Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
