AOC Receptionist (GEO) Department: Governance & Executive Operations Location: Trʼondëk Hwëchʼin Offices – Dawson, YT Posting Date: June 26, 2026 Standard Hours Bi-Weekly: Auxiliary on-call Start Date: Immediately End Date: March 31, 2027 Salary: Level 4 Step 1 ($33.98 hourly) Closing Date 4:00pm (YST): Ongoing Reporting to the Executive Assistant, this position has a direct and daily impact on the reputation and operations of Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Government. The incumbent must value their ability to be punctual, reliable and dependable, strive to maintain an environment that is organized, tidy and structured, be capable of establishing a respectful rapport with jëje-in, citizens and the public, and also be able to cope professionally with shifting priorities, high workloads, and managing difficult people and situations. The Auxiliary On-Call Receptionist may be privy to highly confidential correspondence and information. Mandatory confidentiality is a condition of employment. An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires. Experience in customer service or working with the public. Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word. Experience with Microsoft 365 and Teams, an asset. Experience using general office equipment such as digital telephones, computers, printers & shredders. Punctual, reliable and dependable. Capable of maintaining a pleasant and positive attitude in an often stressful environment. Ability to carry out multiple tasks or projects using effective organization and time management skills. Conditions of Employment: Criminal Records Check. Class 5 Driver’s License and a clear driver’s abstract. TH101. A detailed job description is available upon request.
