Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
The Sessional Lecturer will teach the one-half credit (twelve lectures) course, CMSD 5020: Phonetics, in the Master of Science program in speech-language pathology at the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders during the fall term September to December 2026.
Responsibilities include course planning and classroom teaching, as well as marking assignments as required. The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course and reports to the Director of the School.
This course considers the articulatory, linguistic, and acoustic aspects of phonetics. The application of phonetics to communication disorders, and training in broad and narrow phonetic transcription are included.
Qualifications/Requirements Of Position
A graduate degree and expertise in the area of articulatory and linguistic aspects of phonetics. Relevant teaching experience is an asset.
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement

All offers of employment as a Part-Time Academic are conditional upon sufficient student enrolment in the course and approval by the University.
