Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc. is on the lookout for a dedicated Class 3 Slinger Truck Operator.

This job involves regular physical activity, including frequent climbing in and out of the truck. This position will require the ability and willingness to get out of the equipment and help the crew on the ground.

This is a seasonal position, Monday though Saturday, 10 - 12 hour shifts, local to the Edmonton and area.

Duties:

• Operate the conveyor system to accurately place aggregate materials into trenches, over foundations, or in tight spaces.
• Operate a Loader to feed and process material into the Slinger.
• Drive the truck to/from construction sites, adhering strictly to safety regulations and Alberta Transportation regulations.
• Perform daily inspections, maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of the slinger truck.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and have a clean driving record
• Previous experience operating a slinger truck is an asset
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols
• Experience with manual transmission is preferred
• Familiarity with smartphone technologies for efficient record-keeping
• Ability to follow directions and work well with site supervisors
• Proven reliability and punctuality
• Physically capable of performing manual labor tasks as required
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
