Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

To coordinate and teach Social Behavioural and Administrative Pharmacy 2 (PHAR1062:03Y) over three weeks (March 24-April 13, 2027) in the Winter Term 26/27 academic year. The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for coordination, lecture development and delivery of course content, for holding office hours and for assessment of students.

Course description:

This course is the second course in a series that focus on the social, behavioural, and administrative responsibilities of a pharmacist. Each course will include learning about the principles of professionalism, ethics, and leadership. During this course, students will cover topics including cultural competency and diversity, approaches to modern medicine and pharmacotherapy, pharmacy law, and regulation of the profession. Lecture/Small group work; course is 3 weeks in duration with 9 lecture hours per week and required office hours.

Qualifications/Requirements Of Position

BSc(Pharm) and pharmacist experience with pharmacy administration including social and behavioural aspects is required. Previous teaching experience is an asset.

Salary Range/Pay Rate Per Collective Agreement
