Keyera Career Opportunity Job Type: Staffing Placement Agency THE POSITION Keyera is looking for an experienced Field Health & Safety Advisor to join our Corporate Safety & Operational Excellence team. This role will collaborate closely with our Operations and Maintenance teams to support the development and implementation of health, safety, and operational excellence programs aligned with Keyera’s Management Systems. Location: (Based out of Regina Supporting our PPTC Pipeline system including Dewdney, Richardson, Kerrobert and Fort Whyte locations) As a Field Health & Safety Advisor, you will play an essential role in driving safety excellence through a Coach, Mentor, Assist philosophy. You will be a visible safety leader, guiding the team to create a safer work environment at our field assets while contributing to the overall success of the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES Visible Safety Leadership: Lead by example in the field, providing daily safety guidance at our various locations. Engage with teams to ensure a culture of safety is embedded in all operations. Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert knowledge in regulatory compliance and Keyera’s health and safety programs, ensuring smooth implementation across operations and maintenance activities. Risk Management & Hazard Assessments: Actively participate in HAZOPs, PHAs, TRAs, and other risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and manage potential hazards. Incident Investigation: Lead and support investigation efforts for incidents and injuries. Guide teams through injury management processes and ensure thorough, accurate reporting and corrective actions. Inspections: Conduct and facilitate regular worksite and task inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and identify areas for continuous improvement. Program Implementation: Contribute to the development, rollout, and on-site execution of new safety initiatives, goals, and programs aimed at improving workplace safety performance. Project Safety Oversight: Participate in Project Delivery System (PDS) activities and ensure safety deliverables are met for ongoing projects, turnarounds, and commissioning activities. Contractor Safety Management: Monitor and manage contractor safety qualifications and performance through ISNetworld, ensuring alignment with Keyera’s safety standards. Safety Reporting & Monitoring: Track and analyze safety performance data, identify trends, and prepare actionable reports to highlight focus areas and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Represent Keyera’s safety interests on internal committees and regional or industry safety groups, fostering collaborative safety culture within the industry QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in gas plant operations, maintenance, and health & safety, with a deep understanding of operational safety processes. Professional Designation: CRSP or CRST designation required (or actively pursuing), along with an OHS Diploma or Certificate. Knowledge: In-depth experience with operational safety processes including HAZOPs, PSSR’s, PHA’s, and core H&S processes such as Permit to Work, Energy Isolation, Gas Detection, Process Safety, Confined Space Entry, and Industrial Hygiene. Turnaround & Commissioning: Strong background in supporting turnaround, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with strong technical report writing skills. Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex safety issues and develop practical, effective solutions. Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Maximo, PowerBI, ISN, and SharePoint. Team-Oriented & Self-Motivated: Demonstrated ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player committed to improving safety performance. Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean 5-year driver’s abstract are required. Respiratory Equipment: Ability to wear respiratory protective equipment as per OHS regulations (ensuring an adequate seal where the facepiece contacts the skin) Why Keyera?
