ERCCA Northalta is hiring a Child Placement Liasion, on a one year term conract, with option to extend or continue with the association in another role. 

Target start date is September 2026 for training and shadowing. Start date is flexible based on availability of the successful candidate. 

Reports to: Executive Director/ Senior Director

Minimum Qualifications: Post secondary in Ealy Childhood Education, or equivalent, and Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification issued by the province of Alberta.

Summary of Responsibilities: Working at the ERCCA Northalta admin office, the child placement liaison is responsible for working with families on child registration and placement, maintaining accurate child records, coordinating enrolment information, and ensuring families compliance with agency policies and procedures. It also supports agency growth by managing social media and marketing initiatives, building positive relationships with families and educators, and contributing to continuous professional development for the agency and educators.

Hours: 40 hours per week.

Wage: $22-24 per hour, plus wage top up provided by the government of Alberta based on your level of certification.

Key Responsibilities  

Childcare placment and registration process

• Respond to childcare applications in a timely manner. Display professionalism when communicating with new and existing families. 
• Provide families with information regarding ERCCA Northalta policies, procedures and parent responsibilities. 
• Enter new family information into Kinderlogix in a timely, accurate manner. 
• Provide family the Educator Profile from the Government of AB Day Home Portal 
• Maintain children’s files ensuring required information is up to date.
• Provide Business Administrator the required documents and information related to the childcare fees and schedule of payment. 
• Track and update Day Home data, including locations of available spaces within agency, and child referral tracking data.

Agency and day home marketing and social media

• Create and post content on ERCCA Northalta social media. 
• Support marketing efforts including collecting photos, creating marketing materials for agency and day homes. 
• Support day home educators with individual marketing efforts, ensuring it follows agency guidelines. 

Communication and Relationships 

• Build positive relationships with the ERCCA Northalta team, educators, families, and community. 
• Be a positive role model: use good judgement, discretion, and professionalism in the sharing of information regarding the agency, children, families, and the educators. 
• Determine critical issues and bring them to the attention of the Director.

Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Executive Director may include but are not limited to:

• Prepare reports on childcare trends, issues and activities. 
• Make recommendations to the Director/s for decisions beyond the position’s scope. This includes updates to process, and documents.
• Participate in and/or lead agency led professional development for educators

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Credentials/Professional Registration

• Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification issued by the province of Alberta
• Current, valid CPR and Standard First Aid
• Child Intervention Record Check issued within the last 6 months
• Police information check including vulnerable sector check issued within the last 6 months 
• Proficient in Computer programs including; Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, and Photoshop
• Knowledge of Kids Included ASaP Program an asset.
• Knowledge of Government of Alberta Family Day Home Portal an asset.
• Experience with Kinderlogix childcare management software an asset.
• Experience with Lillio childcare management software an asset.
