What You’ll Do
- Providing knowledge of all Niagara Parks attractions, venues including hours of operation, bus routes, Accessibility.
- Assists the Manager or Supervisor with display, merchandise, and price changes, as needed.
- Follows established policies and procedures regarding money handling to protect against counterfeit bills.
- Assists in monitoring and reducing shrinkage.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Follows all established NPC and store procedures regarding money handling.
- Provide guests with information, make suggestions, and give directions.
- Processes cash, credit, debit transactions, operates terminals and ticketing machine.
- Processes vouchers and reservations.
- Sales of Adventure Pass and carefully time ticket the attractions providing guests with ample time between attractions for travel and an opportunity to enjoy other Niagara Parks offerings such as Golf Courses and Culinary experiences.
- Assist with the rental of wheelchairs and strollers.
- Organizes and interacts with large line-ups of guests.
- General stocking of brochures, lanyards, and visitor guides.
- Secure workstations at the end of shift.
- Greeting guests and listening to their questions to provide the service or product that best meets their needs.
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism with guests.
- Maintains video rooms, entrance area, and exit area as applicable.
- Assists with various cleaning duties
- Executes returns if applicable (i.e., returns of merchandise, rain checks due to inclement weather, etc.).
- Required to work weekends, shift work, and holidays.
- Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, First Aid, and established policies and procedures.
- Provides guests with information regarding all Niagara Parks Attractions.
- Promotes a positive image of the Niagara Parks Commission.
- Provides quality customer service that meets NPC standards; refers all concerns to Supervisor.
- As assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- Equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures; interpersonal and communication skills, customer service skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and methods, basic numeracy skills; knowledge of relevant health and safety procedures.
