TSR Consulting is currently seeking a highly motivated Retail Risk Product Owner for an opportunity in Mississauga, ON Position Title: Retail Risk Product Owner Location: Mississauga, ON Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and it is subject to change. Expected Duration: 6+ months, possible extension based on business needs Job Type: Rutherford, NJ Pay Range: $80.00/hr.- $90.00/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Description: We are seeking a Retail Risk Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in retail credit risk, CCAR and regulatory stress testing, and agile product management and a proven ability to define and deliver an enterprise Loss Forecast Platform that is scalable, compliant, and aligned to business outcomes. Responsibilities: Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Loss Forecast Platform aligned to business and regulatory objectives. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to inform product decisions and identify opportunities. Translate strategic objectives into detailed product requirements and user stories to drive efficiency. Act as the primary liaison across risk, finance, technology, and stakeholders to capture, analyze, and prioritize requirements for CCAR and loss forecasting models. Build and maintain a groomed backlog with clear, estimated, and value-prioritized stories. Facilitate workshops to elicit detailed requirements and resolve ambiguities. Partner with agile teams through the lifecycle from concept to deployment and optimization, participating in all agile ceremonies. Provide day-to-day guidance to development teams and support UAT to confirm requirements and quality standards. Ensure platform design supports data governance, model risk management, auditability, and regulatory submissions. Collaborate with model development and validation teams to integrate and operationalize advanced loss forecasting models. Communicate updates, risks, and trade-offs to senior management and stakeholders and manage expectations. Monitor performance, user feedback, and regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Experience with AI-assisted tools is a plus. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field. Master's or MBA preferred. 10+ years in product management, business analysis, or similar roles in financial services with focus on retail risk. 5+ years of experience with CCAR, DFAST, or comparable regulatory stress testing and loss forecasting processes. Proven delivery of complex technology platforms in an agile environment. Strong knowledge of retail credit products such as credit cards and mortgages and related risk drivers. Understanding of PD, LGD, EAD, and flows from data ingestion to models to regulatory consumption. Knowledge of Python, SQL, UI/UX concepts, and platforms used in regulatory processes. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities across technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to influence and drive consensus. Preferred Skills: Experience with CECL, SR 11-7, and model risk management practices. Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted product or analytics tools.
