Annual Salary: $68,005.81 to $82,713.52 Employment Status: Full-Time Term Position (24 Months) Language Requirement: Bilingual (CBC) (definition [https://www.canada.ca/en/public-service-commission/jobs/services/gc-jobs/language-requirements-candidates.html]) Schedule: 37.50 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Work Environment: Hybrid Competition Closing Date: October 4, 2026 SUMMARY OF DUTIES The Canada Aviation and Space Museum (CASM) is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative professional to develop and deliver engaging experiential learning workshops, training programs, and web-based content that support the growth of the Aerospace Experiences program nationwide. The role collaborates with a diverse range of stakeholders, conducts program evaluations, analyzes results, and contributes to the ongoing development of impactful learning experiences for participants across the country. EDUCATION * A post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline, including but not limited to Education, Sciences / Engineering, Science Communication, Museum Studies and/or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience EXPERIENCE * Experience developing and implementing educational programs or activities in museums, parks, or similar cultural / heritage settings to meet specific learning objectives * Experience developing and delivering training programs to adults (ex.: “train the trainer”) * Experience using a variety of technologies including 3D printing and laser-cutting * Experience developing and administering program evaluations * Relevant volunteer work is given full consideration KNOWLEDGE * Knowledge of educational approaches and different learning styles with a focus on experiential learning and facilitation techniques * Knowledge of curricula across Canada * General knowledge of museology with an emphasis on evaluation techniques * Knowledge of aviation / space industries (e.g., history, science, careers, emerging technologies) is an asset * Knowledge of standards and guidelines relating to accessibility, inclusivity, and diversity, particularly as they pertain to educational programming * Knowledge and understanding of the operational policies, procedures, and objectives of Ingenium and of CASM’s mandate, objectives, programs, services, roles, responsibilities, organization, and structure * Basic knowledge of databases and report generation is an asset SKILLS & ABILITIES * Research skills are required to contribute to determining program content and delivery mechanisms * Effective communication skills, including excellent writing skills (composition and editing), ability to tailor documents to a wide variety of audiences and occasions; good oral and written communications skills required to deliver effective trainings to different audiences; tact and negotiating skills are required when working across teams and with external stakeholders. * Strong leadership skills in the context of both internal team dynamics and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders * Good strategic thinking, a high degree of initiative and judgment, problem-solving skills, creativity, and versatility including the ability to move between strategic operational thinking and creative program-development thinking with fluidity * Ability to work in a team environment, and with both adults and children * Ability to work under pressure without continuous supervision * Ability to effectively represent the Corporation on the local, provincial, national, and international scenes Security Requirements: Enhanced reliability Work location: 11 Aviation Pkwy, Ottawa, ON K1K 2X5 Union Affiliation: Public Service Alliance of Canada Classification: level 5 We wish to thank all applicants for their interest and effort in applying for this position.
