This role is ideal for someone who has built a strong career within Product Control Operations and has subsequently supported strategic initiatives, including technology implementations, process improvements, and business transformation projects. 📍 Toronto, ON | Hybrid (3 Days/Week) 📅 12-Month Contract | Strong Potential for Permanent Hire The successful candidate will bring deep operational expertise in Product Control while serving as the key subject matter expert on projects impacting Product Control processes, financial reporting, and technology. Working closely with Product Control, Front Office, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams, you will help ensure business requirements are translated into effective solutions while maintaining the integrity of Product Control processes and controls. Please Note: This is not a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or Product Owner position. We are specifically seeking candidates whose primary experience has been in hands-on Product Control within Capital Markets. Key Responsibilities Act as the Product Control subject matter expert on strategic initiatives impacting Product Control operations and financial reporting. Partner with Product Control, Front Office, Finance, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams to support the successful delivery of business and technology initiatives. Analyze existing Product Control processes, identify operational impacts, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, controls, and reporting. Collaborate with project teams to define and validate business requirements, ensuring Product Control processes and accounting requirements are accurately reflected in technology solutions. Support system implementations, process enhancements, automation initiatives, and platform upgrades affecting Product Control. Participate in testing, implementation, and production readiness activities, ensuring new solutions meet Product Control operational and control requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness, strengthen financial controls, and improve reporting quality. Required Qualifications 7+ years of progressive Product Control experience within Capital Markets, supporting trading businesses across asset classes such as Fixed Income, Equities, FX, Interest Rate Products, Credit, or Derivatives. Strong hands-on experience with daily P&L production and analysis, Product Control accounting, General Ledger reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial controls within a trading environment. Proven experience partnering with Front Office, Finance, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams to support daily Product Control activities while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Demonstrated experience participating in technology implementations, process improvement initiatives, finance transformation, or strategic change projects while representing the Product Control function as the operational subject matter expert. Strong understanding of Product Control processes, Capital Markets products, and the trade lifecycle. Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within Agile project environments. Exposure to Business Analysis responsibilities, including reviewing business requirements and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Experience with Capital Markets platforms or financial systems such as Murex, Calypso, Broadridge, Sophis, Summit, or similar applications. Why Join?
