The incumbent provides supervision to students in formal clinical practicums. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * Min. 1 year (post graduate) recognized exp. working within adult community MHAS. Education * Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Competencies * Cultural competency * Public relations skills * Problem solving skills * Interpersonal skills * Conflict resolution skills Knowledge and Abilities * Ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting. * Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act and other legislation * Ability to prepare reports in a clear, concise and timely manner. * Knowledge in various mental health disorders and stability interventions * Knowledge and skill in community outreach and crisis interventions * Able to work independently in a self motivated manner & respond under pressure * Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies * Identify, implement and evaluate client difficulty areas * Knowledge in recovery philosophy * Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems * Highly developed written and oral communication skills * Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups Other Information * For more information on the city of Regina please visit https://www.regina.ca/ * Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body * Can work flexible hours; ability to work shifts based on operational needs. * Requires a valid driver’s license.
