Job summary

Please note this is a temporary full-time position for 6-12 months. JOB OVERVIEW: The Receiver is a central player in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of inventory into the store. Working with other key stakeholders, the Receiver is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory received and accurately completing all the accompanying paperwork. RESPONSIBILITIES * Receive all inbound product and maintain flow of inventory to store shelves, sort and unpack product * Schedule third party shipments * Ensure space is available for incoming product by working with freight team and freight team manager * Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory received * Complete paperwork with attention to accuracy * Keep clear communication with Accounts Payable to ensure all paperwork is processed in a timely manner * Complete Return to Vendor duties; communicate with vendors as necessary * Responsible for accuracy of inbound and outbound inter-store transfers apart from those for which the shipper is responsible * Responsible to track and maintain special orders with regular communication with sales team * Work with other store teams with regards to merchandise movement and delivery inquiries and concerns Required Education, Skills and Qualifications * Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills * Detail oriented and strong organizational skills (sort material, perform detail counts, match paperwork) * Ability to perform duties that involve stretching, bending, lifting and carrying medium to heavy products * Prior retail and receiving experience an asset * Equipment experience (Forklift, power pallet jack) an asset * Forklift certificate is an asset; required within 3 months * Able to work flexible hours
