Workday Security Specialist

Contract Workday Security Consultant Location: Mississauga area, Ontario Working arrangement: Hybrid Onsite requirement: 1 day per week Contract length: 6 months (Flex rate) Start date: ASAP Experience level: Mid-level Overview We are supporting an established Workday customer looking to hire a Workday Security Consultant for an initial 6-month contract. The consultant will support the day-to-day management, configuration and improvement of Workday security across the organisation. This is a customer-side role working closely with internal HRIS, HR, Payroll, Finance and technology stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Configure and maintain Workday security groups, domains and business process security. Support role-based, user-based and organisation-based security requirements. Review security access requests and investigate access-related issues. Support security changes across Workday HCM and related modules. Complete security audits, access reviews and remediation activity. Support testing, documentation and deployment of security changes. Partner with internal teams to understand requirements and recommend suitable security solutions. Support Workday releases, enhancements and ongoing security improvements. Required Experience Hands-on Workday Security configuration experience. Experience with security groups, domains, business process policies and role assignments. Understanding of Workday HCM security and organisational structures. Experience troubleshooting access and security-related issues. Experience supporting security audits, access reviews and testing. Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills. Ability to work independently within a customer-side Workday environment. Preferred Experience Experience supporting security across both HCM and Financials. Understanding of segregation of duties and security governance. Workday Security certification or Workday Pro accreditation. Previous experience within a large or complex Workday customer.

Manage and configure Workday security groups, domains, and business processes across the organization. Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, and Finance stakeholders to perform security audits and support system releases.

Requires hands-on experience with Workday Security configuration, specifically within HCM and organizational structures. Proficiency in troubleshooting access issues and conducting security remediation is essential.
