Job summary
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Route Sales Representative to join our team. This is a full-time (Maternity Leave) position with an opportunity to extend beyond the 15 months. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, and increasing sales through effective merchandising and upselling techniques. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a strong work ethic to ensure efficient route management and exceptional service delivery. Responsibilities * Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process by understanding their needs. * Regular store visits, building strong customer relationships, ensuring stock availability, merchandising products, and driving sales growth of confectionary, beverage and food service items. * Proactively identify, pursue and maintain constant pipeline of potential customers to meet or exceed established targets via prospecting, networking and referral activities within designated territory. * Collaborate with all FJ Wadden department teams including Sales reps, Customer Service Reps, Warehouse, Purchasing & Transportation teams to optimize delivery execution and maximize profits. * Review/analyze strategic accounts in the territory and investigate market competition and growth opportunities. * Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through friendly and professional service * Manage pricing adjustments and ensure accurate billing for delivered goods * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, sales, and customer interactions * Communicate effectively with customers regarding product information, promotions, and feedback Qualifications * Valid driver’s license (class 5) and the use of reliable personal vehicle. * Proven experience in sales, customer service, or merchandising roles * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers * Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly * Knowledge of handling price adjustments, invoices and issuing credits as required. * Excellent organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and maintain accurate records * Prior experience in route sales or distribution is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided * Willing to travel throughout the dedicated region. This position is on the road 3-4 days per week while the remainder is at the office located in Mount Pearl.

Requirements
