Job summary
Heavy Equipment Operator (Water & Sewer) Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operaotor to work on underground / water & sewer projects located in Edmonton. We offer competitive wages, work / life balance, great opportunity for advancement, training and potential for work over the winter. Duties include (but are not limited to): Installation of underground utilities in close proximity to existing utilities and in existing residential / commercial areas Adherence to legislation for excavation and trenching requirements Operate equipment in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment Ensure work is always done safely, to the highest quality standard while maintaining strong production Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program Daily equipment inspections and maintenance Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity Required Skills: 3+ years of experience Experience working in congested areas Finish experience is required Exceptionally safety conscious Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent / foreman Ability to operate other equipment is an asset Strong communication skills Required Certifications: CSTS 2020 WHMIS 2015 Ground Disturbance Level 2
What you’ll do
Operate a skid steer to install underground water and sewer utilities in residential and commercial areas. Ensure all work adheres to safety legislation and quality standards while performing daily equipment inspections.
Requirements
Requires over 3 years of experience with skid steers, specifically in congested areas and finish work. Must hold CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance Level 2 certifications.
