Location: Torngat Mountains Base Camp, Labrador, NL Employment Type: Seasonal Contract, Day-Rate Contract Dates: until September 2026 Reports to: Base Camp Manager / Lodge Manager About Us Torngat Mountains Base Camp is a remote wilderness camp offering guests immersive experiences in one of the most spectacular and culturally significant landscapes in Labrador. Operated by Arctic Kingdom Polar Expeditions, our team delivers exceptional hospitality in a rugged, close-knit camp setting. The Role We're looking for an experienced Chef to lead kitchen operations at Torngat Mountains Base Camp through the remainder of the season, wrapping up September 2026. You'll plan and prepare meals for guests and staff, manage food inventory and ordering logistics in a remote setting, and maintain high standards of food safety in a camp kitchen environment. What You'll Do Plan and execute daily menus for guests and staff, accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences Manage kitchen inventory, food ordering, and supply logistics specific to remote camp operations Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with NL health regulations Supervise and support kitchen assistants/cook staff as needed Manage food costs and waste in a remote, resupply-limited environment Collaborate with camp leadership on guest experience and special event meals Adapt to variable weather, transport, and supply schedules typical of remote camp operations What You Bring Proven experience as a Chef or Head Cook, ideally in a remote, camp, or lodge setting Red Seal certification or equivalent culinary training/experience (asset) Food Safety certification (or willingness to obtain) Comfort working and living in a remote wilderness location with a small team Strong organizational skills for inventory and menu planning under supply constraints Flexibility, resilience, and a team-first attitude — camp life requires adaptability What We Offer Day-rate compensation Accommodation and meals provided on-site Travel to/from base camp coordinated by Arctic Kingdom A once-in-a-lifetime setting in the Torngat Mountains

Requirements
Candidates should have proven experience as a Chef or Head Cook, preferably in a remote or camp environment. A Red Seal certification or equivalent culinary training and Food Safety certification are highly desired.
