The delivery driver works with other members of the branch team to increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by delivering complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to the company?s customers. The driver represents the company in a highly professional, safe and cost-effective manner that complies with MTO and other applicable regulations. *DZ Driver Responsibilities:* * *Experience with Manual Transmission REQUIRED* * Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers * Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind * Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers? needs * Maintain communication with branch during deliveries to ensure updated instructions are received * Perform pick-ups (credits and returns etc.) from job sites when requested * Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to the branch * Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements such as daily logbooks, and maintain required documents for safety, security and quality processes * Safely operate forklifts, Moffat?s, boom-cranes and other warehouse equipment as trained * Perform occasional warehouse duties as required * Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required * Follow all company policies and procedures, and government laws & regulations * Be a positive pro-active team player * Lift, slide, carry and lower items that weigh up to 50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs * Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch and company success *Driver Qualification:* 2 years maintaining a valid DZ driver?s license and a clean driving record 1 year of Moffat experience Positive Attitude and good communications skills. *Knowledge & Skill:* * Experience with Manual Transmission * Ability to read a map or GPS and accurately plan a route * Ability to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact * Working knowledge of Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations * Effective listening, verbal and written communication skill Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $26.00 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Life insurance * On-site parking * RRSP match * Vision care Experience: * Moffatt: 1 year (required) * Manual transmission: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: * DZ Licence (required) Work Location: On the road
