Job summary
Job Description: Medical Receptionist (Casual) Schedule: Monday - Friday Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for patients entering the clinic and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional, and positive experience. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential in supporting patients, physicians, staff, and members of the public. Key responsibilities include managing incoming telephone calls, greeting and checking in patients, scheduling and coordinating appointments, responding to general inquiries, and providing administrative support to support the efficient day-to-day operations of the clinic. Duties and Responsibilities Greet and register all patients upon arrival in a professional and friendly manner Answer multi-line phones Schedule and manage patient appointments Configures EMR appointment scheduler Provide patients with support and guidance as needed Completes daily EMR tasks as assigned Update patient information in the EMR Maintain a clean and efficiently ran reception and waiting room space Sorts mail and monitors electronic and manual faxes Other general administrative duties Qualifications Previous medical reception experience Education in medical office assisting or health care aide is considered an asset. Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks Excellent communication and problem solving skills Experience working with MS office suites Familiarity with Med Access EMR software preferred Enthusiastic and thrives in a fast paced and changing environment Strong attention to detail Applicants in consideration will be required to adhere to a criminal record search.
