This role works collaboratively with members of the Group Sales team to provide service to the Eastern provinces. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the team, while ensuring a positive experience for our group plan sponsors and advisors. You may be required to be in-person at our office in Waterloo, ON or another assigned location within the Waterloo Region, on an as needed basis. Sales related roles may be required to travel based on the assignment. What you’ll do: Submit request to quote to the underwriting department and correspond with advisors for outstanding information Assist Group Account Executives (GAEs) with the renewal process by ordering requested reports and submitting sold rates Prepare group terminations and order requested reports Provide support to our advisors and clients via email and phone Answer inquiries relating to commissions and ensure advisor errors & omissions/required licensing is up to date Assist with agent of record (AOR) changes Monitor and investigate late premium payments through interactions with advisors and plan administrators Complete inforce transmittals Support national regions as required to meet overall goals and balance workloads Assist in the process of data collections, efforts to improve processes, or to make processes consistent between regional offices What you’ll bring: Post-Secondary education or equivalent Previous customer service experience Comprehensive understanding of group insurance is an asset Strong analytical, organization, time-management and decision-making skills Superior communication skills, including effective listening and the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities Experience using Word, Excel, and ability to learn and apply new system applications What’s in it for you: Career Growth: Regular learning sessions and development opportunities Total Rewards: Allowance provided in place of vacation pay and benefits Flexibility: Healthy work-life balance with employee wellness always top of mind, complemented by a “dress for your day” approach At Equitable, we’re committed to fair pay and an inclusive, accessible hiring experience. Your base pay will be based on your skills, qualifications, experience and education.
