Job summary

On-site Coordinate with the client to mobilize the necessary resources at the right time and anticipate the team's needs. Supervise the execution of work; identify anomalies, non-conformities, and additional work. Guide the team toward solutions (and yes, site supervisors may even lend a hand with the tools themselves). Know, minimize, and control technical and commercial risks; produce required documentation (timesheets, DFRs, cost tracking, schedule updates, etc.). Administrative work Collaborate on service proposals. Plan on-site work (arrangements, amenities, tools, control sheets, subcontractors). Prepare and lead project kickoff meetings. Prepare invoicing, produce the final report, and lead a post-mortem meeting. Deliver technical training and contribute to continuous improvement projects. En chantier Coordonner avec le client afin de mobiliser les ressources nécessaires au bon moment et anticiper les besoins de l’équipe. Superviser l’exécution des travaux; identifier les anomalies, non-conformités et travaux supplémentaires. Accompagner l’équipe vers les solutions (et oui, il est même possible pour les chefs de chantier de mettre la main aux outils). Connaître, minimiser et contrôler les risques techniques et commerciaux; produire la documentation requise (feuilles de temps, DFR, suivi des coûts, mise à jour de l’échéancier, etc.). Travail administratif Collaborer aux offres de services. Planifier les travaux sur site (modalités, commodités, outillage, fiches de contrôle, sous-traitants). Préparer et animer les réunions de lancement de projet. Préparer la facturation, produire le rapport final et animer une rencontre post-mortem. Présenter des formations techniques et contribuer à des projets d’amélioration continue. Les atouts pour que le courant passe entre nous BAC en génie mécanique ou domaine connexe Connaissances/expérience en hydroélectricité (groupes turbine et alternateurs) Bilinguisme français/anglais (parlé et écrit) pour être autonome hors Québec et collaborer avec des clients/collègues anglophones Permis de conduire valide Disponibilité pour déplacements fréquents en chantier **Nous avons actuellement deux postes ouverts : un poste permanent et un poste contractuel à durée déterminée.
What you’ll do
The Chef de chantier/Cheffe de chantier will coordinate with clients to mobilize resources and supervise work execution while identifying anomalies and guiding the team. They will also handle administrative tasks such as service proposals, project planning, invoicing, and leading meetings.
Requirements
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with knowledge or experience in hydroelectricity. Bilingualism in French and English is required, as well as a valid driver's license and availability for frequent travel.
