Business Systems Analyst (Payments) 📍 Location: Calgary, AB / Halifax, NS (Hybrid) 💼 Experience: 10+ Years Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong background in Payments to join a leading banking client. The ideal candidate will have expertise in payment applications, wire processing (SWIFT/FED), ISO 20022 standards, business analysis, data analysis, SQL, and Agile methodologies. Key Responsibilities Understand new business requirements and perform detailed business analysis. Prepare business, functional, technical, and data mapping documents. Analyze payment transaction data and identify potential business or technical data leakage across banking systems. Develop in-depth knowledge of payment applications, system architecture, payment flows, and application dependencies. Analyze large datasets and recommend process improvements. Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to define business and technical requirements. Review and analyze business requirements, process flows, data models, and functional specifications. Develop: Business Requirements Documents (BRD) Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) Use Cases User Stories Process Flows Workflow Documentation Identify and resolve issues impacting customer and business experience. Ensure Business Recovery Plans are established and maintained. Define security requirements for systems, processes, and information exchange. Review testing strategy, test cases, and support SIT/UAT activities. Support implementation, production readiness, deployment, and post-production support. Coordinate with Change Management, IT Architecture, Development, QA, and Business teams. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.
