Job Description As a Junior Geotechnical Engineer, you will assist in the planning, design, and execution of geotechnical investigations and provide technical support, design and reporting for a variety of foundation and pavement engineering projects, including transportation, infrastructure, and major project developments. Assist in conducting site investigations, soil sampling, and laboratory testing. Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to support geotechnical design recommendations. Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers. Support the design and assessment of foundations, roadways and pavements, retaining structures, slope stability, and ground improvement solutions. Participate in field work, including site supervision, drilling operations and construction monitoring, and support laboratory testing operations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives on time and within budget. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and health & safety regulation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering from an accredited institution. Registered as an E.I.T is preferrable. 4 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated involvement in geotechnical design and evaluation. Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, foundation design, and pavement structure analysis. Experience with materials testing, subgrade assessment, and foundation system recommendations is an asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations. Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork, including site investigations and construction monitoring, as required.
