Job summary
Discovery Community College (DCC) is expanding its Health Sciences programming and is currently building its faculty team for a future Medical Laboratory program. We are seeking a Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or experienced Cardiology Technologist who is interested in contributing to program development, accreditation preparation, and future instructional delivery. This is a unique opportunity to join the program during its development phase and help shape the next generation of healthcare professionals. Position Type Casual / Part-Time Initial involvement during program development and accreditation stages Future instructional opportunities available upon program launch Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise during program development Support curriculum review and accreditation readiness activities Collaborate with DCC faculty and leadership on program planning Deliver instruction, demonstrations, and student support once the program launches Assist with practical and laboratory learning activities as required Qualifications Certified Cardiovascular Technologist in good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (or equivalent recognized credential) Current industry experience in cardiovascular diagnostics and testing Experience with ECG interpretation, Holter monitoring, and related cardiology procedures Strong communication and mentoring skills Teaching or training experience is considered an asset Compensation $42.00–$50.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience Why Join DCC?
