Work That Matters, People Who Care.Job Description WHAT'S THE JOB?The Breakfast Cook contributes to the overall success of the culinary team by getting our guests started each day with a hearty breakfast and is responsible for producing all required items as per contract scope daily, while maintaining a clean and enticing display of products during service. The Breakfast Cook will demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.This is a short-term contract between June-August, requiring the individual to remain at the lodge for the full duration. All travel, accommodations, meals, snacks and beverages are provided. Key responsibilities include:Preparing and cooking breakfast for guests at siteEnsuring consistent quality of standard in over-all food preparation as per clients' requirements including consideration to special dietary constraints Ensuring proper equipment operation, safety, and sanitization in the kitchen Complying with food safety regulations in accordance with Food Safety ActCompleting all HACCP and Production logs as requiredPreparing adequate quantities of the menu choices by following all production quotas set and budget guidelinesPerforming end-of-shift cleaning, sweeping, and mopping of workstationReceiving and storing all supplies (food, beverage, chemical and paper/disposable)QualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Current Food Safe certificate is requiredLarge scale camp cooking experience requiredRed Seal or other certification is an assetExperience in accurately producing weekly inventoriesHigh standards in maintaining a clean and organized KitchenA self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little or no supervisionPassion for the outdoors with the ability to commit to the full duration of the work term while remaining at the lodge for the full durationAbility to successfully complete a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) level 3Additional InformationWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Enjoy an excellent opportunity to experience the beauty of the Iron City Fishing Lodge, including the use of all amenities (i.e.: beach, kayaks, boats and motors, hiking trails, laundry facilities, and more!)All travel, accommodations, meals, beverages and snacks are provided2 days off each week Whereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing!Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leaderWork schedule and remuneration: The Breakfast Cook will remain at the lodge for the full duration of the contract between June 20 - August 22 (approx.). All travel, accommodations, meals, beverages and snacks are provided. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays. Requirements
Candidates must possess a current Food Safe certificate and have experience in large-scale camp cooking. A Red Seal certification and the ability to pass a Police Vulnerable Sector Check are also required or preferred.
