Job summary
Job Title: Working Foreman Location: Remote Camps, Yukon Territory About the Role: Cobalt is seeking experienced Working Foreman with extensive heavy equipment operating backgrounds. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for individuals who lead by example, are comfortable operating a wide range of equipment, and can effectively guide and support crews in the field. The successful candidate will work closely with Site Superintendents while maintaining the ability to independently manage crews and daily tasks when required. This position is well-suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, remote work environments and are committed to safety, productivity, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities: Operate a wide variety of road construction and mining equipment as required Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and mentorship to crew members Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans Communicate effectively with Site Superintendents regarding progress, challenges, and staffing needs Assist with job planning, task coordination, and productivity tracking Enforce company safety policies and participate in safety meetings and inspections Step in to manage crews independently when Site Superintendents are unavailable Qualifications & Requirements: Have extensive experience operating all types of road construction and mining equipment Be willing and able to work in camp-based and remote settings for extended periods Demonstrate strong leadership and crew management skills Work collaboratively with Site Superintendents and other management staff Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract Successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Previous experience in a Working Foreman or Lead Hand role an asset Strong understanding of construction safety standards and best practices Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in the field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Work Schedule & Details: Competitive wages based on experience Overtime available Full-time, seasonal positions

Requirements
