Job summary

Location: Varies, throughout Yukon Job Type: Full-Time/Seasonal Compensation: Competitive, based on experience About the Role: Cobalt is looking for full time lube and service technician to work with their crew on various sites throughout the Yukon. Successful applicants will have experience servicing highway tractors and all brands of off highway equipment including but not limited to: John Deere, Caterpillar, Volvo and Hitachi. Key Responsibilities: Fuel, lube, and service heavy equipment, trucks, and small engines onsite Perform routine preventative maintenance, including fluid checks and top-ups Grease equipment and inspect for visible wear or leaks Maintain records of service and fueling activities Communicate with mechanics and supervisors regarding equipment status and any issues Operate service trucks and ensure proper storage and handling of fuels and lubricants Assist with equipment mobilization and general yard/field tasks as needed Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations Able to schedule and maintain a fleet of 30+ pieces of equipment Qualifications & Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role or mechanical servicing of heavy equipment preferred Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 or higher with air brakes considered an asset) Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work independently in varying weather and field conditions Basic knowledge of hydraulic, fuel, and lube systems an asset Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working outdoors for extended periods Safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, TDG, First Aid) are an asset but can be provided Work Schedule & Details: Competitive wages based on experience Opportunities for overtime and advancement Accommodations and meals while in remote camps A supportive team and safety-first environment Exposure to a wide variety of heavy equipment
