Temporary Labourer (The Aud)

Overview Premier recreation and entertainment facility in Southern Ontario are currently recruiting for a Temporary Full-Time Labourer. These positions will assist in the day-to-day activities at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. We are looking for responsible individuals, with the ability to work a variety of shifts. (Temporary Full Time for Approximately 10 Months) Responsibilities Operates equipment - Ice making and maintenance - (e.g., ice resurfacer (e.g., Zamboni), edger, hand chopper) to maintain ice around boards. Building/equipment maintenance, Providing customer service to residents and visitors of the community arenas Facility maintenance includes cleaning common areas, washrooms and changing rooms janitorial duties including outside maintenance in various weather conditions including salting, grass cutting and snow shoveling. Readings and maintenance in the refrigeration plant as directed by the chief operator Performs other related duties as assigned. Education Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. Additional Requirements Valid MTO "G" class driver's license in good standing. Attend and successfully complete Emergency First-Aid training. Attend mandatory staff training sessions and successfully pass the course requirements. Flexible to work varying shifts, holidays, and overtime as required, including days, afternoons, weekends. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Demonstrated communication/customer service skills. Ability to keep accurate written records. Emergency First Aid. Ability to participate as an effective team member. Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.

The role involves operating ice maintenance equipment and performing general facility upkeep, including cleaning and janitorial duties. Additionally, the labourer provides customer service to visitors and assists with refrigeration plant readings.

Candidates must have a minimum Grade 12 diploma and a valid MTO 'G' class driver's license. Flexibility to work varying shifts, holidays, and overtime is required, along with the completion of Emergency First-Aid training.
