ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience) - Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario. - BScN preferred. - BCLS certification. - Current ACLS - Current Certification in Venipuncture, arterial lines, care of the ventilated patient, Delegated Controlled Acts. - 2 years recent Level 111 critical care experience within the past 3 years. - CNA certification in critical care preferred - Demonstrated problem solving skills/critical thinking skills. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Knowledge of resource utilization initiatives - Current working knowledge of CCIS - Successful completion of the cardiac module of a recognized college/university critical care diploma course - Member of RNAO preferred. - Satisfactory attendance
