Contract Opportunity | $55/hour | Hybrid (3 Days Office / 2 Days Remote) Cartel Inc. is currently recruiting for an experienced Litigation & Regulatory Paralegal to join the legal and enforcement team of a highly respected Ontario regulatory organization. This is an outstanding opportunity for a paralegal looking to expand their experience in regulatory litigation, administrative law, tribunal proceedings, and Provincial Offences matters while working alongside experienced legal professionals. The Opportunity Working as part of an established legal team, you will provide both legal and administrative support on regulatory enforcement matters. Your responsibilities will span the full lifecycle of files, from intake and case management through hearings, appeals, and prosecutions. Key responsibilities include: Administering Administrative Penalty Order (APO) files, including intake, issuance, service, tracking, and correspondence. Managing appeals, maintaining accurate electronic files, monitoring deadlines, and coordinating documentation. Supporting prosecution files by maintaining court records, monitoring court schedules, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel. Drafting Provincial Offences Act charges, pleadings, affidavits, and legal correspondence. Conducting legal research, reviewing evidence, and assisting with case preparation. Organizing witnesses and evidence for hearings and trials. Representing the organization in administrative tribunal proceedings and before the Ontario Court of Justice, where appropriate. Tracking file progress, maintaining litigation databases, and preparing status reports. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will possess: Licensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (or eligible). Approximately 2–5 years of paralegal experience. Experience in one or more of: Civil litigation Regulatory or administrative law Tribunal proceedings Provincial Offences Court Prosecutions or enforcement matters Excellent legal drafting and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and file management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working independently while collaborating effectively within a legal team. What You'll Receive $55/hour Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the Mississauga office, 2 days working remotely) Exposure to complex regulatory litigation and prosecution work. Opportunity to appear before administrative tribunals and the Ontario Court of Justice. Collaborative and supportive legal team. Annual legal conference attendance supporting Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements. Potential reimbursement of Law Society licensing fees (subject to eligibility and contract timing). Please note that this is a contract position. The successful candidate will be employed by Cartel Inc., with vacation and sick leave administered in accordance with Cartel's employment policies. As a temporary assignment, benefits and bonus programs are not included. Requirements
