This position works as part of the therapy team to contribute to the client's quality of life by providing appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence. Responsible for other related duties as required. Program Summary: Complex Mental Health Care – a program providing comprehensive care for adults with complex behaviours, whose primary diagnosis includes mental illness, dementia or other cognitive disorders. Qualifications & Experience: - Graduation from an Accredited Therapy Assistant program. - Relevant equivalent training or experience may be considered. - Previous experience in a therapeutic setting is essential. - Experience with computers preferred. \n \n

What you’ll do

Provide therapeutic programming under the direction of Physical and Occupational Therapists to help clients achieve discharge goals. Work within a complex mental health care team to maximize clients' safe and functional independence.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited Therapy Assistant program with essential previous experience in a therapeutic setting. Proficiency with computers is preferred.
