Responsibilities Reporting to the Driller/Blaster Supervisor, the main responsibilities of the Blaster are: * Carry out its duties according to the safety standards (road safety and health and safety); * Execute blasting work or any other work requiring the use of explosives; * Fragmenting, cutting the massive rock; Breaking isolated rocks; * May be required to use various drilling-related tools; * Ensure the inspection of the equipment before and after his shift; * If necessary, perform any other tasks requested by his supervisor. Qualifications * Must have successfully passed the Blaster Exam or have equivalent experience; * DEP in Drilling and Blasting; * Good knowledge of the Digishot Plus electronic blasting system; * Possess a valid driver's license; * Hold a general explosive permit; * Bilingual (French / English). What you’ll do
The Blaster is responsible for executing blasting work and rock fragmentation using explosives according to safety standards. They must also perform equipment inspections and utilize various drilling-related tools as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
Candidates must have a DEP in Drilling and Blasting, a general explosive permit, and a valid driver's license. Proficiency with the Digishot Plus electronic blasting system and bilingualism in French and English are required.
