Job summary
Junior Exploration Geologist Temporary Long Term position Position to fill 2 Reference EXP26-09 Work location is in Nunavik Deadline to apply September 3, 2026 The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of rest. Future challenges Reporting to the Project Geologist, the Exploration Geologist performs all planned exploration work in the field, at the core shack and in the office. He is responsible for: * Follow work, health and safety and environmental protection procedures; * Contribute to the planning and implementation of exploration work; * Monitor exploration work and ensure the quality of work results; * Perform core logging and sampling; * Regularly compile, process, integrate and interpret data and results of exploration work; * Participate in 3D geological modelling (including structures and mineralization); * Perform health and safety and environmental inspections of drilling sites; * Coordinate exploration work with logistics planners and technicians/day labourers; * Perform any other tasks that his supervisors may deem necessary to ensure the efficient conduct of exploration activities. Requirements * University degree (Bac.) in geosciences (geology or geological engineering); * Applicants must be members of the Ordre des géologues or Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec; * Minimum of 2 year experience in mineral exploration; * Bilingual (French and English); * Experience associated with exploring the magmatic deposits (Ni-Cu-PGE) is an asset; * Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Geotic, Leapfrog, ArcGIS or equivalent software; * Ability to communicate verbally and in writing (reports, presentations, others); * Demonstrated ability to organize and supervise an exploration team; * Must have a general explosives licence and a valid driver's licence; Skills sought * Certain predominance towards compliance with health and safety rules and regulations and environment; * Willingness to work in a northern environment and in a multicultural team; * Good skills in communication and work organization; * Dynamic, autonomous and positive attitude; * Possess excellent skills in preventive maintenance. Requirements
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in geosciences and be members of the Ordre des géologues or Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec. A minimum of 2 years of mining exploration experience and a valid driver's license are required.
