Job summary
The CSSO serves all inpatient units, the Emergency Department, and Support Services (i.e., Food and Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Security Services) with their staffing and scheduling needs. With a robust team operating from 0600-0000, 7 days per week, the CSSO supports staffing and scheduling activities across the hospital, working closely with staff and leaders to ensure unit and department needs are met, all while using a brand-new scheduling application (HIVE). Reporting to the CSSO Manager and the Clinical Operations Coordination Leader, the two (2) part-time, temporary (1 year) Scheduling Clerk will play an integral role in ensuring that all in-scope unit/departments are staffed in an operationally safe and cost-efficient manner at all times. They will focus on filling shift gaps on posted schedules, administrative exchanges, and call-outs to staff to cover short-notice absences, in accordance to the OPSEU and ONA Collective Agreements, CAMH policies, and legislation as applicable. At present, there are 3 shifts for CSSO Scheduling Clerks: * 0600-1400 * 0900-1700 * 1600-0000. Please note that the successful applicant(s) could be scheduled for all shifts 7 days a week. Weekend work is required. Requirements
Candidates must have a post-secondary diploma and up to one year of relevant scheduling experience, preferably in a hospital or fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software quickly are essential for this role.
